This year, the gardens are abundant with vegetables that the participants have helped grow. The next stage of this project would be to enable the gardeners to cook these delicious foods on site having just harvested them.

The gardeners showed their resilience and fortitude last year by braving the elements throughout the bleary, rainy colder months, but they really deserve to have somewhere warm to rest, socialise and do alternative activities in when the weather is too miserable.

Materials and labour for a pizza oven.

Who doesn't want to cook pizza from home grown vegetables in a walled garden?

This will be an opportunity for the participants not only to cook and eat homemade pizza themselves, but also to sell the pizza's that they have made to the general public, helping to bridge the divide between adults with additional needs and their wider community.

Can you help us raise £1500?

We were fortunate to be given some old second hand tools when we started our program with the gardeners last year, but due to the hard work of digging up hundreds of bramble roots, a lot of these tools just broke.

We are in dire need of some new and robust gardening tools that we can now store in our toolshed.

We need to raise £500 for these.

Withywood is a 'not for profit' organisation, and we are running these programs as volunteers, but there are always other continuous general running costs.

In order to continue delivering these much needed activities and to ensure the sustainability of Withywood, we need to raise £10,000.
